LeewayHertz Partners With Protocol Labs to Work on Filecoin’s Major Projects
LeewayHertz, a global leader in delivering next-generation Web3 and blockchain development services, recently announced that the company has partnered with Protocol Labs to build a range of Filecoin network retrieval monitoring solutions.
Filecoin is a decentralized data storage network launched and managed by Protocol Labs, the open-source research and development company for building future-ready tools, protocols and services. LeewayHertz is currently working on multiple projects related to dCDNs; retrieval performance solutions and the Saturn performance dashboard. With the aim to provide web 2.0-like filesystem retrieval and writing speed to the Web3 users, various solutions and comparison dashboards are being built.
Launching the Web3 CDN dashboard is the first step toward achieving the larger vision of getting maximum retrieval speed from a decentralized storage network. This dashboard monitors the top five content delivery networks, including nft.storage and web3.storage, Estuary, Meson and IPFS Gateway. By tracking the performance based on critical favors such as TTFB (time to the first byte), TTLB (time to the last byte), and geo-locations from which the Network is retrieving the data now, Filecoin users can compare and choose the right file retrieval channel for web3 storage.
Giving an overview of the projects underway, Akash Takyar, the Chief Executive Officer of LeewayHertz, mentioned, “The file retrieval monitoring dashboard enhances the transparency of the network performance across various channels. So far, the feedback on these projects has been convincing, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership with Protocol Labs and building solutions to achieve maximum storage network throughput and speed.”
Patrick Woodhead, the Technical Program Manager of Protocol Labs (Filecoin), said, “In 2022, Protocol Labs partnered with LeewayHertz to measure the performance of Web3 retrieval markets, generally called decentralized content delivery networks (dCDNs). The work from LeewayHertz has improved the visibility into current dCDNs and the team is now helping to build the improvements to make Filecoin dCDNs more performant and reliable.”
Headquartered in San Francisco, LeewayHertz is a multi-service Web3 and blockchain development company with extensive experience consulting and developing enterprise-grade dApps and decentralized solutions. With the experience of building over 50+ Web3 projects used by millions of users, LeewayHertz is building solutions for startups and enterprises entering the Web3 space.
Filecoin is a decentralized cloud storage network launched and managed by Procotol Labs. The Filecoin Network was established on 15 July 2014 to allow people worldwide to rent out storage and allow buyers to simultaneously get storage on their preferred devices. As an open-source and decentralized platform, Filecoin manages a huge network of data providers while eliminating chances for a single point of failure.
